Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 4:06 PM BST
swept under the carpet by RTV i presume ?
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 4:06 PM BST
we don't want any bad publicity for horse racing thank you very much.
Report in hell July 15, 2025 6:05 PM BST
Don't think they even mentioned it
Mid-division, pushed along into modest 5th 2 out, still plenty to do jumping last, ridden and stayed on strongly 1f out run-in, went 2nd final 50 yards, just denied final strides

Just denied because he stopped riding
Report punchestown July 15, 2025 6:17 PM BST
No urgency at all in the final 50 yards, not off imo.
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 6:20 PM BST
bad news stories are not welcome on RTV in hell...

it's all about positivity...

making out to the mug public how wonderful the sport is and it's full of wonderful human beings who are giving their all for the mugs sat at home.
Report punchestown July 15, 2025 6:24 PM BST
Looks like the race fell in a heap in front of him which he wasn't expecting so a bit of knitting required..
Report uptheirons July 15, 2025 6:25 PM BST
You sound unhappy HibbyLaugh
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 6:26 PM BST
but these sort of things are EXACTLY what these pundits SHOULD be talking about imv...

by deliberately ignoring it they are just taking the mug public for mugs quite frankly...

who are they trying to kid ffs ?
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 6:27 PM BST
no unhappy irons...

i just have never understood the reluctance of telly folk to say nowt about things...

i know i couldn't do it...

mind you that would probably mean i wouldn't last long tbh...

just like Peter Harris.
Report uptheirons July 15, 2025 6:27 PM BST
You take things far too seriously Hibby
Report uptheirons July 15, 2025 6:29 PM BST
Plenty of ex presenters "spoke their minds" Hibby and are no longer employed
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 6:50 PM BST
i've never been a yes man irons...

and i don't like them tbh...

if you see something you should speak about it...

folk who see things and ignore it are not for me i'm afraid.
Report uptheirons July 15, 2025 6:55 PM BST
If presenters wish to remain in employment they cannot risk rocking the boat Hibby as I am sure you know
Report Cider July 15, 2025 6:58 PM BST
There was no talk about the race, post race as it was busy on the channel. They just jumped to the next race. My take on it is that he thought he was getting up with momentum and misjudged the showboating.
Report stu July 15, 2025 7:01 PM BST
I'm usually one to go against a b'nt ride, but that would be a very way to ride a b'nt one, must admit. He flung it past the others, and narrowly missed the win.
Report stu July 15, 2025 7:01 PM BST
*very odd way to ride
Report stu July 15, 2025 7:02 PM BST
could have just eased slightly when further back, if truly trying to 'stop' it.
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 7:05 PM BST
doesn't mean to say i like it tho irons...

they can do what they want...

and when i ditched RTV i told them EXACTLY why i did ditch them...

so they lost my subscription fee but i doubt they give a fk tbh.
Report uptheirons July 15, 2025 7:07 PM BST
Do you really think that I like it Hibby?
It is merely a fact of life
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 7:13 PM BST
what 'annoys' me is that the head honchos of the channels seem to think it's the way it should be...

never understood that...

if jockeys refuse to do interviews coz some pundit said something negative about them then so fkn what...

same with trainers...

telly head honchos seem to think we can't survive without hearing what these folk have to say...

it's utter tosh.
Report HappyHibby July 15, 2025 7:21 PM BST
TWICE today i heard pundits saying...

'the apprentice who rode it last time'...

they were saying a 'professional' now rides and takes over from an apprentice...

presumably they thought the apprentice fkd up last time...

and they didn't even have the guts to actually name the 'apprentice'...

i mean that is ridiculous imv...

but that's the stage we are at...

they are all $h1t scared of saying anything negative whatsoever.

Same with every sport. The producers seem to think that talking heads attract more viewers than live sport. Very frustrating. I would love to be back in the days when one live commentator was sufficient. No build up waffle, no inane questions afterwards. Move straight on to the next live event.
