Had a perfect position with cover, but space on his right between the two groups to pull out when needed. For some bizarre reason decides to go left back towards the back of the main pack instead. Then meets the inevitable trouble in running for a fast finishing second.
I'm not one to moan about jockeys at all, but that choice to pull left into inevitable trouble appears inexplicable.

Buick riding like man possessed at newmarket , he put moore in his pocket in big one , moore was last of bridle and he still dome him , no doubt if buick was on planes hors there would have won but u can't be too critical of kid as he is a certain standard

I domt think moore would want to watch back the maiden and group 1 , totally outridden and outwitted , buick has surprised me past few months , he is as good as any of them

Ryan gave the first time out horse a serious race, six hits and they weren't missing. Pretty unusual for a debut. January doesn't find a huge amount off it, maybe will come back in trip.

I don't think golden and young thady covered themselves well in public with heated debate with buick after eclipse, buick don't nothing wrong and rode race as he seen , the turn of foot got delacroix out of trouble , john and thady sometimes need to realise u have to take your beating, john is a perfectionist but buick did nought wrong , maybe john should try to concentrate on getting his horses to settle better , many can be free and he uses red hood alot ,maybe he should have a look at gallops at home to see if he can contract this issue .I'm admirer of john but he let's himself down airing in public critism of his jockeys , it's bad look to see him get heated against buick and dettori , 2 greats
