YER IT IS BAD GAMMAR, ON MY PHONE.

NICE TO SEE THATS ALL YOU HAVE TO COME BACK WITH, WHAT YOU ARE BETTING ON IS AWFUL. I HAVE ALWAYS FAVOURED THE FLAT OVER THE JUMPS TO BET ON, BUT LAST SEASON I SEEN THE CRACKS APPEARING.

I question some of the trainers who employ them!

It’s in a bad state in France also. Fabre had said when he got the German Champ in as stable jock born Kazakhstan that he’d a hard time finding a replacement for PC Boudout. The *multiple German Champ lasted a season! Laugh

If ever proof was needed that this Forum has sunk even lower than pre April 2025 this is it. The standard of riding is higher than it has ever been across the board so the continual criticism can mean only one thing, lack of ability in punting?

Carliai do you really think that? give me an insight?

It would be difficult to give you an insight without a stryker saw and an autopsy table.

You think these jocks are better than dettori, fallon, smullen, murtagh, kinane, hughes etc.

More lies from shafter but never mind, it must take a lot to recover from a beaten 1/12 dog in a 5 runner race?

Ryan Moore will pass Dettori's Group 1 total within a few years if he stays fit.

Race riding is light years ahead of 10 years ago, as is most sports

OP will have many old favs, but don't compare them to jockeys at the start and middle of there careers, compare like for like at the end and you will have a better balanced perspective.

Says something when Juddmonte go to Ireland for their retained rider?

For a horse housed in Newmarket, not a good ego boost for jocks based here is it?

Disagree as with most sports too. Fitness might be better but raw talent is raw talent and it’s not abound.

Says plenty when someone suggests they struggled Delilah?  Is it unusual that they looked to Ireland for a jockey, next thing we know they will send horses to be trained there?

i no nuffink bout jokeys or jokies but if the op is correct racing is the only sport wear the leading practitioners are worse than what has gone before

I think that apart from maybe 5 or 6 jockeys the rest mostly range from average to moderate with a lot of them not capable of proper race riding.
Its not surprising given that the jockey coaches are the likes of Richard Perham, George Baker etc.

You think that it’s down in part to the coaching side?
By:

Seems obvious to me that if the pool of talent is shallow here then you look elsewhere as Juddmonte did and Aiden had when the best there had retired or moved on because of not liking being second choice to his son.

Always thought that it was brave for Gosden to go with Shoemark and expected the split as many did I believe.

Deleshay, i do, the mantra now is get your horse cover and get it settled
but if every jockey is doing that it leads to slowly run races with horse pulling their chance away ang not getting a run.
It doesnt seem to happen as much in big races because that is where the very top jockeys are competing.
By:

That makes a lot of sense and the cliche then becomes the norm and people do without thinking.
