2s, no chance, yad be knocked over in the rush, market looks right
Favs price revolves around the ascot run. If you believe it. Hé either Badly needed thé Sandown run, and improved dramatically at ascot, Or they went way too fast, all stopped, and hé came through, looking A different horse. They went steady in alaqams race, he traveled up well Never looked like passing, beat 2 lens. No pace in tomorrow’s race, other than Delacroix, so I’d imagine Moore will lead, and go Stead, and try nick it from front, cant have the other 3yo’s, dont know enough About French horse. If I got a free grand bet, back thé jolly, 100 bet, Delacroix, hmmmm |
By:
if as most people do think the 3yr olds arnt much cop ,the french horse bog at 5,s must be the bet ,isnt it ?

Looking back …. ponchoslament • July 2, 2025 6:50 PM BST Hmmm maybe, at least you put one up, 20s, He’s a length behind Tennessee stud Who was 7 behind Delaquox?? Imagine Moore will ride dela? Best chance of the 3yo’s ? And to what you’ve just posted it seems that you had part done the race or made your fancies! ;) So you’re adding Delacroix with the short priced fav?! |

Just to throw it out there and ask, where does this notion that the 3year olds are duff come from?

Caviar Heights Was just beaten by a real spam fritter of a 3 year old in Windlord.
Further back was Check n Challenge Who’d been beaten this season: 4 1/2L by Haatem 1m 2F 4 1/4 Lead Artist 1m g1 4 3/4 Sardinian Warrior 1m 3 3/4 Dancing Gemini 1m Just wanted to throw it out there …. Opinions welcome |

I need apologise for not having the answers!

I’ve got girls who give me that time! ![]() |

6 Gp1 winners in a 6 horse Gp1. It’s probably happened before but pretty rare I would guess.
It begs the question as to what will set the pace and whether there will be a good pace. |
By:
As we discussed on the Irish Derby Thread - there’s G1’s then there’s G1’s
By:
True but each one will be wanting to win this and will thus be keen to look after their prospects as the race starts and unfolds.
The possibility of a false early pace is the point I raise. |
By:
I discussed pace on the AP thread maybe I’ll be wrong but I gave it go
By:
And there’s 5 g1 winners no? in a six horse race?
By:
Good point. Delacroix not. Yet

Haha thanks for revealing your fancy!

1tp's view on Sosie ticks the box with me. G L.
By:
wheres the feeling 3 yr olds arnt up to much, just the chatter, but if you think otherwise this week you could have backed both of AOB,s tomorrow at 7,s this week in a 6 horse race including a 50,s rag at one point

Sosie, all form on soft ?? Gd to fm ??

Just to throw it out there and ask, where does this notion that the 3year olds are duff come from
Was mostly referring to tge derby 3yo’s, staying 3yo’s The bookies dont seem to rate the milers either, they were 6/5, 9/2 thé 2 4yo Field of gold looks way ahead of them, hard to think the ones behind him ascot Are thst good. Just my opinion…. |
By:
From the Ap forum
Fabre was of the opinion earlier in the season that good ground was crucial to Sosie |

Tom Segal has nailed his colours to the mast and believes it won't be a member of the Classic generation who wins Saturday's Coral-Eclipse (3.35).
Segal doesn't think the form of the three-year-olds, whose charge is led by Derby disappointment Delacroix, is up to scratch and has it as a shootout between Prince of Wales's Stakes hero Ombudsman and French raider Sosie. Speaking on the Racing Post's In The Know YouTube show on Friday night, Segal said: "I'd be surprised if Ruling Court, Camille Pissarro, Hotazhell or Delacroix won. I don't think the three-year-olds are very good at all. "It's a shootout between the top two and I'm quite surprised at the price of Sosie. It's the perception, which might be right, that he won't like it, but if ever there was a fast ground pedigree, he's got it. Every time he's run with good in the going description he's won. "I actively think he wants fast ground. I think it will come down to tactics and if he's behind Ombudsman turning in, he's got no chance. If he's in front, it'll be hard to pick him up, because Sandown will suit him perfectly. I hope Maxime's [Guyon, rider of Sosie] watching this thinking he'll take the bull by the horns!" Can see where the talk of the 3yr olds being poor is from now. It makes me laugh a little here is a French horse who’s Fav for the Arc but isn’t taking the usual French path towards the race! (Having a midsummer break) His initial target was the King George but in winning the D’Isphan he showed that he has enough pace for this so change of plan. They are seeking good ground for the colt and making hay. No need to over complicate thinking when the reality is there to see. Whether he’s good enough is another thing, but they’re running to find out. |

By:
ratings men hiding under the bed with everything crossed, with the rating theyve given the fav basically on one run when AOB,s pair went mad up front ,any horse beating him today is the BEST HORSE IN THE WORLD,if its one of AOB,s 2 probably not in top 3 in AOB,s yard
By:
11,12,s any price you want camillie, was shorter thasn delacoix on tues in betting, ruling court 16,s on mon ,now its only 2 places ,10 pts shorter, seems no one no,s

By:
Yeah 1TP, re thé ascot race, as previously posted, it’s a race to watch today, no bet race
For Me, if the French horse wins, gl to it, dont know enough about it to back It, but if Fabre Is sending it over, mus’nt be worried about the ground? I’m think Delacroix will lead |

Gosdon was not in the best of form but winner and 2 nd yesterday, always looked like a odds on chance but that losing run of gosden maybe why the drift, obrien won this last 3 out of 4 and ryan moores derby flop is 6.0 on here, that was to bad to be true, so the 2 above for me,
By:
The drift is highly likely to be that the fav is very unlikely to get the suicidal pace at Ascot here
