Impressive but not an outstanding time.
Better to judge when the placed horses have run.

Horse seemed to be running green / pulling for his head the first half of the race, then when he was let go ...... Whhoosh.

These types of horses tend to be massively overbet next time Glasgow

What was that Mark Johnston winner, at the Newmarket July meeting I think, that everyone was raving about re it's time..........don't think it ever won another race. What was it called again?

Not at all Dix.
If you start backing heads or tails at 1/2 you will not last long

the time is not really relavent as it was not even trying (jockey had a hold of it) and still destroyed them even after being keen.  The horse is a superstar and you should be excited !!!!

I was very impressed Dix but I know what is likely to be offered in its next race

That was the "next coming"according to Willoughby that ran up a golden highway.
A cash cow for a few runs afterwards

Obviously it can go either way for impressive first time out winners. I fell in love with Bradsell after his York romp for example. That one today was just a little bit too efficient, and a breezer too. Time not special. Certainly not one you'd be itching to back in its next race for me, but will still follow with interest.

The best for me was Sir Percy, incredible win first time out at Goodwood. But only won by a shortish distance in the book, if people didn't watch the race they wouldn't have known how crazy it was.

Front Line Fury ran a faster time carrying more weight. Certainly puts a wealth warning on the previous race. Although clearly 82 underestimated Front Line Fury.

Anybody remember the hype about Mums Tipple after its York win?

Very good run but there seemed to be a marked draw bias.

Yeah I wouldn't have thought so after first viewings but looking back there's a real possibility FLF is the better horse. Of course the filly can run in easier pattern races.

What did it beat? Flog it to Watnan. If it was Hughsie would have had it in Ascot.
