Besides the O'Brien '3yo's'. You need at least two runs even the O'Brien runners. I have fallen foul of this in all four races. Too easy to get drawn in by the impressive first timer. None of them have finished their races off.
On the other hand you could just say that 3 short priced favorites have won the 2YO races. All that matters iis making a long term profit and that means finding winners that the general public are ignoring. Thats why I am ALWAYS happy to oppose obrien and moore at royal ascot.
Only had one winner in 3 days, Havana Hurricane. But after that blitz of acceleration in the woodcote, 11-1 was a monster price in the windsor castle (aftertiming totally accepted btw). Surely HH has a very very big chance in the molecombe in six weeks time?

Not sure of the comparison with three favourites winning. How is that of any use going forward? The point of the post was to try to improve things for next year.
The Albany and the Chesham have a different make up so they may produce second time winners.
I have only had the one winner - Trawlerman - but that doesn't surprise me. You need so much more luck at Ascot than Cheltenham. I am always pretty hopeful of three or four double figure prices in March, but it's a different ball game here. I have had 5 or 6 run very well at very good prices, but they haven't won. If you are looking at bigger prices then you need at least a couple to hit the jackpot.
Chief Singer was very much a one-off.
