Notable Speech is screaming out here... Money doesn't lie at Royal Ascot..
Report Emitdeb June 17, 2025 2:26 PM BST
oops!  imo.

I don't quite understand why Lead Artist is so weak to confirm the form. Quicker ground and stiffer track should both be pluses. I wonder if there have been any issues since the Lockinge?
Report second again June 17, 2025 2:30 PM BST
Lead Artist is very week, was Rosallion injured after Ascot last year?
Report penzance June 17, 2025 2:32 PM BST
Dancing Gemini.
Big fan of Rosallion but was a bit disappointed with him in the Lockinge.
Will come on for the run but Dancing Gemini made up a fair bit of ground
& may have it the front soon enough in that.Improved a fair bit this season
aswell.4Plcs available here aswell.

Well done to connections of Cairo esp his trainer Ms Haynes. I think Cairo used to be trained by AOB.

The front 2 there,on both LTO.
Lockinge 1ST 2 were both very disappointing.
Report duffy June 17, 2025 2:41 PM BST
Wondering if Levey was a tad over confident there, just looked like he was coming through to win but somehow didn't.
Report differentdrum June 17, 2025 2:43 PM BST
One race in, they go a crawl and you end up with a bookmakers result. You always rely on the unreliability of the weighing room. Winner lost his last eleven, never won any Graded race.

Lead Artist looked to be well placed, but immediately stopped to nothing. Market was correct.
Report howard June 17, 2025 2:44 PM BST
best at turning mile or even better 7f duffy. But big races 1m.
Report impossible123 June 17, 2025 2:46 PM BST
I'm so pleased for his trainer Harry Eustace. And, the horse deserves it very much too.

Looked like a well ridden deserved winner

levey not for me either

The jockey messed up on Rosallion, too far behind off a slow pace. Basic stuff. Seriously, are there any decent jockeys in the UK these days?
Report impossible123 June 17, 2025 2:49 PM BST
Poor Rosallion! He beat all the principals but lost the nod to Docklands on the line. Sussex Stakes beckons for Rosallion.
Report Mat22 June 17, 2025 2:50 PM BST
Winner given awful ride last time, proper jock on a track it loves, somehow wins a G1
Rosallion is back, sussex next Cool
Report high_lander June 17, 2025 2:52 PM BST
impossible123 Rosallion needs a better jockey. Sussex Stakes is another day, should've won this easily.
Report the dealer June 17, 2025 2:52 PM BST
The winner certainly loves the track, 3 from 7, with 3 seconds and a third.
Report Cider June 17, 2025 2:53 PM BST
It's pretty standard for Rosallion but he was too keen again in that type of race. Surely the connections can afford to put in a pacemaker.
Report Storm Alert June 17, 2025 2:53 PM BST
Winner got a good ride, but I thought Rosallion had come with a winning run and somehow got chinned. Can understand why Hannon was gutted. Hopeful can make up for disappointment in the Sussex.
Report high_lander June 17, 2025 2:54 PM BST
Who cares about the Sussex ffs - everyone lost today.
Report elisjohn June 17, 2025 2:57 PM BST
so the hannons  HOPED CAIRO WOULD DO THE PACE, BLOODY HELL GET A PACEMAKER IN IF YOU WANT PACE
Report penzance June 17, 2025 2:57 PM BST
Nice payday for the Haynes stable,£85K.Her horse ran a stormer.
Report Cider June 17, 2025 2:57 PM BST
Notable Speech ran better than the final result. He'd be my preference for goodwood
Report Delashay June 17, 2025 2:58 PM BST
You have to question the tactics on Quddwah Foyles, very frustrating, thought he’d had a better prep than the winner.

Another year another 100/1 shot fills the frame! Shocked

Buick had a mare today, you’d have thought that the slow pace would suit a horse placed in a Breeders Cup Mile.
Report Mics June 17, 2025 3:01 PM BST
Very disappointed with levey , done everything right apart from getting properly stuck in before line , one more proper tap he wins , I personally think he was trying to be smart and win by head , another tap or two no rules be broke , if I was owner I'd be livid
Report Cider June 17, 2025 3:01 PM BST
Yes elis and lack of pace is pretty common for the straight mile at Ascot. Very difficult to make the running and win, just end up doing the legwork for others so the jocks tend to try and hold back whatever the pace. Can understand it but there are connections with leading chances in the race that could easily have slotted in a pacemaker.
Report DrGordons June 17, 2025 3:03 PM BST
Agree with Cider. I'm a Buick fan but that wasn't his finest hour.
Report Cider June 17, 2025 3:03 PM BST
But the winning jockey threw away his whip, Mics. Would have been unlucky to have been nutted on the line. As I said above, the jolly was too keen and that's why he couldn't nail the winner imo
Report impossible123 June 17, 2025 3:04 PM BST
I think Rosallion missed the Sussex last season. I cannot remember by choice or a slight impediment eg a stone bruise. But, Field of Gold will be that race bound too if he wins later to emulate his dad Kingman and connections.
Report Cider June 17, 2025 3:05 PM BST
It's just an unsatisfactory race, it happens. I do have a real soft spot for the winner, but he didn't carry any of my cash today Grin
Report Mics June 17, 2025 3:05 PM BST
Cider I agree that what makes ot more galling for hannon,if levey was more forceful it would have won given second no whip , it looks to me he thought he was going to win by head or so instead of properly opening up rosaalion , he left it behind him and sheikh obaid won't be happy
Report Cider June 17, 2025 3:07 PM BST
Rosallion not really a whip/pressure horse. Levey would have known he was too keen and trying to nurse him home.

Maybe cider bit I feel just one more smack before line would have made difference , well agree to disagree
Report Cider June 17, 2025 3:14 PM BST
It might have, it was on the dip either way. But in my view the jockey thought he was already giving everything. Fine margins. Far more troublesome is pulling too hard again. Which is common for this horse.
Report high_lander June 17, 2025 3:14 PM BST
stop making excuses for a bad jockey you nonce

ssn was curtailed by an issue, cant recall what it was but it wasn't by choice

Levy gave 6 smacks , I did comment about the ground in the Lockinge possibly being quicker down the middle and both Rosallion and Notable Speech being on the wrong side .
Report Cider July 10, 2025 4:10 PM BST
Obviously a very interesting entry in the July Cup for Notable Speech. He is different gravy to that bunch, big field though and the potential for split/bias on this track. Great to see him entered though.
