I don't think it's about patience - there are just no results showing as it was the same for a couple of old films I searched for.
I know the video I was looking for used to be on YT years ago so I thought this'd be the place to find it.
Briefly, my mate was in a band and the only real 'evidence' of that was an appearance on TOTP in 1983 - unbelievably, it was totally expunged from the internet as the episode was introduced by that **** Savile.
Talk about a sledgehammer to crack a nut

As far as I know it can be used to view different versions of a published website. I'd be surprised if it could be used to surface a deleted you tube video.

There are still Jimmy Savile presented TOTP recordings on Youtube. Have you searched through them all? Here's part of one from 21/07 for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yR-ucxPEaxs&ab_channel=marfun2 .

Thanks Elise - I know this sounds unlikely but I watched that and thought he looked very similar but when I showed it to him, he said that was recorded in Belgium and for some reason he missed that particular gig - would you believe the guy who stood in for him and made ONE appearance for the band was his brother!
Thanks again...as he was very happy to see that 'lost' recording again after many years
