100% the right to do. There would be a lot of interest in her with regards to breeding once she's retired, especially if she can win another G1 and keep the race! But even if she doesn't but still runs to the level she's at now, she's making a 1M+ in a breeders Auction. So 20-30k for the enjoyment of watching a horse you own running in all the big Fillies race for at least the rest of this season. A very easy decision IMO

Fair play if that's your view WP, only one of the syndicate voted yes, looks a more than fair offer to me and I definitely would be in the sell corner.

48k is a decent chunk of change but if you consider the future prize money she could earn and what she's worth with regards to breeding. I think it was a sensible decision to turn the offer down. Also what price would you put on the enjoyment of owning such a classy Horse and getting to watch her in all those big Fillies races for the rest of the season

This scenario is just like Deal Or No Deal in truth , the main factor to know is how much each individual needs £48k , until then it's impossible to form an opinion regarding what's best.

Would have been £66000 per shareholder.
Let's hope that they don't eventually regret it but the correct procedure was followed.

It’s a catch 22 we all know horses can dissapoint and I hope it wins for them but it’s a very fine line they are treading and yes as it’s only a small pot each, then I’d take the gamble and hope it goes your way

I cannot remember the filly that was trained by Beckett, and bought by Amo Racing for over £4m in a sale recently. She did not win the last time, but her main purpose now is the number of foals she'd produce.

Does the syndicate own the entirety of She's Perfect? If so, could the syndicate not sell a large portion of She's Perfect and retain the remainder as future investment in the foals she'd produce? I'd sell for £2m+ if this was the only option.

I hope it works out for them, they are obviously emotionally connected to the filly but that offer imo was more than fair.

In a syndicate like that you're bound to get risk takers vs risk averse , as stated it's a Deal or no Deal scenario but as with the tv program without knowing the individuals financial position and needs nobody can make the decision for them and it's also impossible for anyone judging them without those ingredients.

I'd imagine somewhere along the line it'll be too nervy for some and they'll sell their share to someone else in the syndicate who's less risk averse and with a healthier bank balance.

I don't think it's so much if they don't need the money, so keep the fily, more it's an offer too good to refuse.
For what it has done £2 million plus is a lot of money.

Media likes to portray these syndicates as people who haven't two pennies to rub together. I doubt that is the case, but either way it looks a bonkers decision.

Hayden hit the nail on the head when he said you would only think of selling if you needed the money, why would you join a syndicate hoping for a dream horse only to sell for what would amount to the price of a decent car. Good luck to them.

It's their horse and they have chosen not to sell. For what the horse has achieved though, £2 million plus is a massive offer, especially for a filly.
Had it been a syndicate of 10 or less or he owned it himself, for me it's an offer you couldn't refuse. I definitely would have sold it regardless even if I didn't need the money.

I agree. Of course the financial circumstances of the 38 (?) shareholders has to be taken into consideration, and Basher being Basher, may have 'guided' them to refuse the offer, but at the end of the day she's only won a minor fillies maiden worth 5K. I accept she's been placed in a couple of French group races since, but had the run of the race each time. Charlie seems to be confident she will stay, i'm not, but he's trained more winners than me. The breeding certainly doesn't scream out 10.4f.

Stall 7 is not necessarily a significant negative assuming she breaks well tomorrow, but not sure she will get a soft lead and it's a decent field. I think she should have gone for the Coronation and i'm laying her tomorrow.

You may remember Via Sistina was sold for 2.7M guineas to Australia, she had won group races including a G1, i know which one i would want.

This filly's only ran in 4 races so far.Get's beat they can always drop her back
down in trip.Via Sistina had a few more races to get those results.

I really hope it works out for them but I just think things can change so quickly, especially with a filly, buying it for that money based on potential is also a massive gamble, time will tell

How much have they each laid out? You'd assume they would have made a tidy profit, I think I'd have taken the view that my horse was a rag that ran a race in the guineas that has consequently greatly inflated her price and sold.

A bird in the hand and all that, at lest they enjoyed it, besides the result and hope that the filly is sound. Was sweating up badly beforehand unlike the other two runs previous.

And they can say we had the fav for the Prix Diane for a while!

She's a miler and no more.  I mentioned to Watts on one of his platforms about 2 months ago, that I felt she was a Hungerford Stakes filly, gr. 2 7f, August, but he ignored my comment.  I stand by that from what we've seen today.

Yes and not travelling for a third time, she wants cut and got away with it being fast in the guineas, where I felt she was at the end of her tether stamina wise.
