A Gatwick -bound Air India flight vors carrying 242 people crashes

Always amazes me how rare these occurences are. That was a huge fireball, plenty must've been killed on the ground too.

looks possible the pilot managed to get it down without direct hits

girlfriend and her daughter flew back from the Maldives this morning on a Dreamliner. There but for the grace of God...
It looked as though it was coming in to land, not taking off, just unable to climb. Its the first time a Dreamliner has ever crashed.

looks like pilot error. hes retracted the wing flaps instead of the undercarriage according to an aviation expert.
