only ran once on flat over further than 12f for former trainer.  Obviously horse hasn't gone backwards but that step in trip ( 5f more today ) done the trick

4 times over 12f Howard. 3 times at 2 miles.

A change of environment has worked wonders many times

I think what I said was right for flat turf but it wasn't tried too much at extreme distances on turf.  The main thing I would take out of it is it shows that you need little improvement to start winning at this level. ( 47 rated 3rd yesterday )

Usher couldn't train ivy up a wall.

don't follow trainers enough to comment DG.  There was a case yesterday though 3.30 brighton  same trainer all runs  400/1 shot in last of three races at 1m.  Then wins at 12f.
