We've had some corkers over the years:

Aidan can only win (it) with Galileo's
Jockey makes no difference
Ground makes no difference
Form is irrelevant

What's your favourite?

Aiden is the GOAT

Jockey makes little difference to me for a few reasons , you've no idea what caliber of race they'll ride before the event and neither do the jockeys themselves , all jockeys ride above average and sub standard on occasions but obviously the punter has no idea of hindsight so in that respect they are irrelevant , to state a jockey is always useless or always the best is silly in my opinion , aside from all that the jockeys reputation/history/record is as much as it can be factored into the exchange price so any angle spotted by a punter is basically just a personal opinion , it's also such a subjective topic that we continuously see threads proving one punters bad ride = another punters crooked ride = another punters unlucky ride = another punters he did nothing wrong , it goes on forever and can't be anything else but far too subjective to even debate for any decent length of time.

Ground is totally relevant and probably the most important selection criteria but again largely factored into the price.

Form is irrelevant to me personally , no point in studying ridiculous form lines when everybody has the same information in front of them , spotting non mathematical value doesn't exist it's just a posh word for a personal opinion , give 10 so called form students a task of finding the winner of a 16 runner handicap at 5/1 the field and they'd probably come up with 6 or 7 different selections , i'd rather back outsiders and look for reasoning why horses may produce better rather than what they've already produced like every man and his dog can see , i'd imagine 98% of punters actually think they've read form and found value but maybe not a coincidence that's the same % of historical losing punters , form study for what it's worth is just about interpretation and a million miles from an exact science.

I'd say it was next to impossible to back pre race continuously and come out anywhere near level long term using very similar bet types as most seem to do.

Each to their own though , good job we all don't think the same or the exchange wouldn't exist   Grin

Good luck today all    Happy
