Probably, and no. Moore will ride. Delacroix (12/1) or The Lion In Winter (16/1) could run in the Irish Derby (for breeding status) unless neither is deemed a 12f horse. I think Pride Of Aras (14/1) could be The Curragh bound.

Would do a lot for the sport if Lordan kept the ride for the Irish Derby and whatever else it competes in in my opinion. The guy has a back story and well deserves his day in the limelight today. Thorough professional who wouldn't kick up a blade of grass if he was jocked off you'd hazard.
Hope the connections (and Moore) allow him the privilege of maintaining the journey through 2025.

long term its a softish ground winner of a 1 1/2 mile race in june . i've rarely seen a derby where so many were out of it after 4f . the winner , which i backed , is a stayer and will be a n h stallion. good luck to the jockey though . the horses at the back today are likely to be very different propositions at shorter distances on better ground. .

My impression was watching Slip Anchor winning the '85 Derby in silar fashion. facile victory ahead of hosses that weren't that bad really.

i love watching the derby but the fact is that race does not often produce the star of the season as far as paddocks go ....golden horn was a good winner and went back to shorter distances and went on to win the arc . and did well at breeders cup ...and is a n h stallion .

leif , i wish i could agree with you but the trend is not with you . and much as i loved slip anchor's derby victory he hardly set the world alight after . the derby is littered with them . they are barely 3 . racing is worldwide and big in november round the world now . he may be forgotten about by october .

australia(gb) ...by galileo out of ouija board (by cape cross ) . winner of epsom and irish derby . 2025 stud fee less than 10k . think max was less than 50 maybe . ...siyouni,just 4 wins from 12 starts . only 1 gr1 victory . miler . stud fee 200,000 euros .

please could someone explain to me,( as simply as poss) the above comment by windsor knot, i havent a clue about stud fees , breedings etc, but id have thought australia by galileo out of ouija board would cost thousands and thousands more than the siyoni , and why cant you get eg a 1000 gns winner mating with a 2000 gns winner. Sorry if im , and another how IS GOLDEN HORN A NH STALLION, id have thought hed be priceless after winning the races he did

Look how many flat races are run over 12f or more these days. The Leger winner has for decades almost invariably ended up as a NH stallion, and the Derby winner is now far more often than not. Tbf O'Brien has kept the Derby alive in recent years. Other trainers/owners chary of running over 12f. Lion In Winter probably increased his stud fee x 3 by looking a non-stayer.
