You should’ve done 4-folds too! Some very good picks.
Not sure if you’ve been unlucky or foolish though. A near 4000/1 four-timer and no return. |

Think of this thread as a gambling lesson, I’ve tried backing at big stakes, biggest bets ran into 1000’s and hated every minute of betting like that, even when I could make 1000 per day, it was a soulless way of living ,enough was never enough, to be fair there was no real challenge betting like that, personally think it’s easier going through a whole card then it is landing 1.01

Studying and winning definitely has far greater satisfaction in it but it's time-consuming. My biggest wins have come from multis placed on lesser meetings when there's been a going change, much like your bet tonight. I haven't got the time or inclination any more to log all the form and spend hours turning the pages back and forth of the Sporting Life, it's lucky if I can remember a few that need it soft and they all turn up in the right races on the same day.
Annoyingly for your bet, the winner was one waiting for cut and I'm sure you considered it. Could have been £10K for a 10p. acca , very unlucky. |
