Big difference between friends and the latest term "besties" I have plenty of friends who I occasionally meet but nobody apart from family who I see or speak to every day. I am very happy to spend a week on my own when it suits me.

I actually think both are sociopaths but it can help you get places. There is weakness in caring what most people think of you.

The wife must think he's absolutely wonderful.  Most wives don't think that.

but what if she doesnt?  unless shes similarly afflicted its likely to make her anxious. doing other things with different p[eople is a necessary part of a fulfilling existence. what if she has a terrible accident?

most wives dont for good reason. but the best ones i know are delighted if they and their hubby has a hinterland and isnt so one dimensinal and is interesting to and interested in others. its a lack of curiosity and imagination to go all-in on one person. its only possessive needy dullards who arent interesting to others that do this becuse they have little option

Sounds like Hayden has loads of friends but I suspect quite a few blokes have little to do with anyone but the wife.
