remember when Celtic Swing won it.....was 299k to the winner......feel and inside draw imperative but would love to see Luther run well

It's a Group One. Different calculations apply, especially for the supreme jockeys:- Lester, Ryan...different breed.

So much easier when you have a team mate making the pace and making sure you have the rail run in the final furlong. It is very clever tactics but gives them a huge advantage over other horses. Trinity College also impeded Cualificar as he came off the rail. So Coolmore have 2 more classic winners in Camille Pisarro and Henri Matisse to take to Stud.

They are not stopping others from doing exactly the same thing. Isn't that the whole purpose of having a pacemaker. To control track position and the pace of the race.

No you shouldn't have. Master tactics, great ride and no stewards or objections. Job done and another masterclass from the best operation in the game.

in this instance the Ballydoyle tactics were nothing to do with anything. If the Gosden horse doesnt come back it doesnt win. The stable mate was lugging back to the rail too.
