The Clerk of the Scales objected to MISS ALPILLES, placed fourth, ridden by George Downing on the grounds of the rider failing to weigh in. MISS ALPILLES was disqualified and the placings revised as follows: First, DREAM HARDER (IRE); Second, CHARMAINE; Third, PER CONTRA (IRE); Fourth, STRUTH (IRE); Fifth, BOX TO BOX (IRE); Sixth, MIGHTY BANDIT (IRE). After being interviewed, the rider was suspended for 3 days and was not entitled to a riding fee.
