2 nice winners but £10 singles at BSP returns £358, a 6-1 return on your stakes rather than about 2-1.

I was reading the e/w thread, it really makes you think. I this case 52 bets and only 2 got a return.

All terrible races for EW betting swifty - but again and as often seems to be the case for bluenose, some nice picks.

they are terrible bets but we all do them (it's the only quick way to the rich house, unfortunately they nearly always lead us to the other place)

Ask yourself - would you like to lay the 26 place bet element of that bet - the answer is definitely yes!

Obviously the answer should be the same for the 26 win bet element as well - But I still probably wouldn't.

Singles etc is just the slow game, i've had my biggest wins from multis obviously, but won more long term from singles.

I think of multis as a little bit of mixing business with pleasure

A fair outlook. I know I'm not gonna win the Lottery, I know it's terrible value. I still throw two quid at it and buy a ticket from time to time. Not directly comparing the two - but there are similarities.

At least with the lottery you've proably only got to win it once. With max payouts now with dubious t&cs due to race class etc, hitting it once will not get you the million.

Plus, the Lottery won't close or restrict your account if you get 5 numbers up on your first go or 4 numbers up two weeks running.

Only if you beat the price!
