Wesley Ward's bullet juvenile Outfielder was made second favourite for the Norfolk Stakes after making an explosive debut in the USA on Friday.
The colt looked every inch a Royal Ascot prospect when sprinting six and a quarter lengths clear of Skipping Stars in the 5f maiden special weight at Churchill Downs. He crossed the line hard on the bridle under champion rider John Velazquez.
Looks the part
Bookmakers were swift to react to the deeply impressive victory and introduced him to the Norfolk market at 7-1 behind Ballydoyle's 7-2 favourite Charles Darwin.
