Looking at the stewards reports, is it really true that they didn't even bother to enquire into this ride?
Beggars belief if so. But they have enquired into plenty other pointless issues instead during the day... https://www.ihrb.ie/daily-enquiries/limerick-22nd-may-2025 |

Looking at the stewards reports, is it really true that they didn't even bother to enquire into this ride? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ said it a million times stu... but it's amazing how they 'miss' things from time to time... both sides of the Irish sea... there is no doubt in MY mind that they pick and choose what they see and what they don't see... i mean how they miss things at Newcastle during the winter is uncanny tbh. |

This case seems even more blatant though - not like he could argue something like 'not clear run' etc, and other bs they do on the AW.
He simply was not making any effort for quite some time while in the clear. |
|
By:
He heard a noise stu….
|

By:
I might accept (though disagree) with them taking some form of excuse (bs) from the jock here - but to not even ask the question at all and look at the ride...??
Stewards there are essentially utterly pointless for punters. Though as you suggest I suppose we should already know that. |
|
By:
crossed post, yes that was the sort of 'excuse' I would be expecting form...
|
|
By:
But at very least make the jock have to give one!
|

The game in Ireland gets worse every day tbh…imv
|
|
By:
May be debateable form, but I don't think that would have been ignored in the UK stewards (even though they are far from perfect)
|

Up goes the tape and they are strung out the length of the m6….

I might accept (though disagree) with them taking some form of excuse (bs) from the jock here - but to not even ask the question at all and look at the ride...?? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- stu... i've said it a million times on here... there's no point now... it is blatantly obvious what the agenda is on BOTH sides of the Irish Sea... screaming about it get's you nowhere... trust me i've tried it... no harm in letting the forum know when you see an iffy ride... so crack on with that... but expecting the stewrads to actually ask a Q never mind take action is for the birds the vast majority of the time imv... which is an extremely sad state of affairs imv... yet they expect the mug public to have pre-race bets... fkn clowns. |
|
By:
Sad, but probably correct hib.
Just waiting for the next whip round for the injured jockeys fund though, great lads all of them etc etc.... |
|
By:
you won't get me contributing stu...
forget it... nobody forces them to ride horses imv. |
|
By:
Like contributing to the burglar's hospital fees when he fell off your roof in some of these cases hib

|
By:
it's their JOB stu...
if they want to be postmen or work in Tesco it's their choice... it's not up to the mug public to look after them imv... and as you say they hardly have the mug public in mind when they are riding i would suggest. |
|
By:
didn't look that bad to me.
![]() going ok approaching the last, but so is the winner |
