forget the music, amazing gambling opportunity in running once the jury reveal begins.
Report Cider • May 17, 2025 12:50 PM BST
if you didn't know, the jury scoring is in the can already, and will be revealed one country at a time. then the pv's are announced in reverse order, one at a time as total pv points. so you can get big shifts in the table from the jury scores when the pvs are added to get the final total.

months of build up and market forming, and the jury reveal can turn it upside down in a handful of minutes.

we have a promising set up tonight, as the most likely pv winner is expected to be behind with the juries. the test will be how much of a deficit before the pv reveal will the market allow Sweden. I'm not as sure as the market is that Sweden will run away with the pv, it's nothing special.

As in my above post, it's already in the can. The 'winner' is known to insiders.

Grin Been a money printer the last few years. No need to even watch the performances, but it helps to know what is likely to be favoured (or not) by jury and pv scoring. Sweden's price could well crumble quite quickly.

Why is the Eurovision Jury Vote market suspended?

they vote after the semi finals, so someone on the inside would now know who has won

Good few years ago my mate, taxi driver call me say just drop the producer off at BBC HQ, few days before the show, she told him Greece will win, we all had a pop and watched round his house, guess who won? Laugh a right fiddle
Report Cider • May 17, 2025 3:48 PM BST
The bbc don't know, it's the ebu.

Jury scoring and running order are dark arts for sure.

It's kind of irrelevant though, the money making opportunity is down to human nature. Greed and panic. Some years the winner is nailed by the market and the opportunity is diminished, when they are likely to please the juries and the voters. This year though, the favourite for me is a fair way down the pecking order for the juries. It's a borderline novelty entry, doesn't usually swallow up jury votes. Though the juries will know it's the strong fav, so human nature in play again.

Quite why we enter this absolutely crooked, crock of shat is beyond me.
If we entered the greatest song ever made and by the greatest performer we still would have zero chance of winning.
I haven't watched a second of it for at least 12 years,
Meanwhile, the cretins at BBC try to big it up to biblical proportions and slaughter a chunk of our Licence fee to cover the monstrosity
Report Cider • May 17, 2025 3:56 PM BST
Well the UK was second to the impossible to beat Ukraine in 2022.

I'm not a fan of EV or BBC, and couldn't care less that we'll be last again this year. But we'll be last as the song is carp.

& as I keep repeating, it's a smashing betting opportunity.

Sweden's price could well crumble quite quickly.

Actually, Austria's price will crumble first.

To Win Jury Vote (disclosed first) - 2.08 (last matched)
To Win Public Vote - 150.0 (last matched).

so its going to look like they're home when they disclose the jury votes (2.08), and then the backsides gonna fall out of it at the Public vote (150.0).

you're very welcome WinkWinkLaugh

i'd be more interested to know why Betfair have put Sweden, and then Austria to the bottom of the ladder on the Eurovision 2025 - Eurovision: Top 15 market ??

don't think i've ever seen no offers down the bottom of the table, listed after the complete outsiders.
Report Cider • May 17, 2025 9:05 PM BST
Because they aren't backable, one assumes. It's a bit jarring though.
Report impossible123 • May 17, 2025 9:08 PM BST
Is the fav Sweden? If they win a bookie is offering 10 free spins. It was free to play.
Report hulk23 • May 17, 2025 9:08 PM BST
France aren't backable and they're top line.

This market will be turned in-play at the start of each scheduled live semi-final with unmatched bets cancelled. At the conclusion of each semi-final, unmatched bets will be cancelled with losing runners settled and time delay removed. The market will then be turned in-play at the start of the scheduled live final with unmatched bets cancelled. Thereafter the market will not be actively managed. Customers are entirely responsible for their bets at all times. In the event of a tie for placings, competition rules to determine a winner will apply.

if it's not being actively managed ...... where did Austria disappear to ???
Report hulk23 • May 17, 2025 9:41 PM BST

Crumble as in drift, hulk. It worked out exactly as I anticipated, but the market had far more faith in Sweden's televote than it had the right to have. It was never going to be a runaway winner on that measure. But it did still more than double during the jury reveal, before becoming a big lay opportunity again during the televote reveal.
Report hulk23 • May 18, 2025 8:23 PM BST
