Hope it runs well not just because I have had a small bet. With his record I think he should be getting a bit better than the Godolphin crumbs. She probably needs to find a ton, but it's a new season. In recent years I don't remember too many with the records of Desert Flower and Lake Victoria carrying that forward.

He is 3 from 7 for Shadwell over the last 5 years. The runner he had yesterday improved about a stone from its debut run. I got 8-1 for 4 places, if todays runner improves a stone it should be in the 4. He knows what it takes to run well in these races having won with Mawj a couple of years ago.

Good effort, beaten by three horses who had far more experience, and that might well have told. Lost track on the number of horses I have backed this week who have finished one place off a collection. At least that one wasn't due to the ride.

Who offered four places? If it was Sky Bet I think I could have got 1p on.
Can't think this race was a vintage edition given that most of the field finished on top of each other. The French Oaks might be an idea for Elwateen. The winner of the first race might be the stumbling block. |
