7 bumpers 1 bumper
3 x-country 1 x-country

Tbh, that's all I can come up with while waiting up for the Canadian election results.

This is an event designed for the locals. Most of the elite horses would have done battles at Cheltenham, and some at Aintree for the Trainer's Championship and possibly Sandown this season. As such, be ready for some unexpected results.

Nevertheless, a good watch esp for the Irish enthusiasts prelude to the Guineas at Newmarket.

Little comparison between the two events in prestige and importance. The Punchestown event is almost entirely Irish unlike Cheltenham; the best horses run at Cheltenham unless thwarted by injury, going, etc.

If you can get RTE you'll see a pundit lineup that makes ITV/RTV/Sky a laughing stock. Geraghty, Ruseell, Walsh.

"Not even on the telly". Indeed. However, the Trainer's Championship was given an extended transmission. Bizarre!
