It will be two years in July since that spectacular "don't win" and still no disciplinary investigation or findings.

The principals concerned were either non-entities or surplus to the requirement in the sport. As the outcome could only draw attention on The BHA itself mainly eg the longevity of investigation/radio silence, type of probable censure, etc, the longer it's out of the public domain, the more likely it will be forgotten by all.
However, there's little or no concern shown on the well-being, emotional and mental implication of the young and probably naive jockey Kitts whose fledgling career is in tatters, and reputation totally tarnished. Whether it was self-induced or not the BHA does have a responsibility and accountability on the guidance of young jockeys coming through to ensure they are not waylaid by unscrupulous adult individuals solely for fraudulent profit only. |

Why has it taken over 2 years for the dullards at racing's HQ to deal with this?
We see horses not running on their merits in just about every maiden and lower class handicap on a daily basis. But if the trainer is SirIhavenoexplanationfortheapparentimprovementin form, or Sirtheblinkersworkedtheoracle or SirI'venoideawhyhewas2/5I'mnotabettingmannudgenudgewinkwink then the stewards simply note the trainer's 'explanation' and no action is taken. The BHA is simply not fit for purpose. |

There is not a jockey riding that has not been asked to give an "easy"by the Trainer and they sometimes fall in and win

Honestly don't think the trainer was involved....Jocks first ride for the yard at the instruction of the owner...trainer removes that owners horses from the stable the next day....Owner carries on free as a bird. The BHA really is some outfit.

Outlining the BHA’s case against Kitts, trainer Chris Honour and John Higgins, an associate of Hillsin’s owner Alan Clegg, in a disciplinary panel hearing which began in central London on Monday, Louis Weston KC said the rider had admitted to stopping the horse when first interviewed in October 2023. Weston said: “Mr Kitts accepted the horse was given a stopping ride but went on to say he did so out of concern there was a threat by Mr Higgins, and confirmation for that was given [to him] by Chris Honour.” Kitts, Honour and Higgins have been charged with intentionally ensuring Hillsin did not run on his merits in a 2m4f conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle at Worcester on July 5, 2023, in which he finished third, beaten a length and a quarter. The BHA said Kitts had been in contact with Higgins before the race. This included the rider being paid £100 by Higgins, via his son-in-law, professional footballer Ashley Barnes, following his third-placed finish at Exeter on April 21, 2023, when Higgins and Barnes reportedly won £5,000. Hillsin (noted): finished a tenderly-handled third at Worcester on Wednesday Hillsin (circled): finished a tenderly handled third at Worcester in 2023 Credit: Sky Sports Racing The BHA said Honour had been keen to make “a good impression” on the connections of Hillsin, who had recently moved two horses to his yard, particularly as Hillsin was unable to run in his intended first start for the yard at Newton Abbot, when he had got loose at home and had to be withdrawn. Honour is also said to have spoken with Higgins 70 times on the phone between May 17, 2023 and July 5, 2023 compared to 35 times with Clegg, the registered owner of Hillsin. Weston said: “Mr Higgins said to Mr Honour that if things go well then more horses could come his way, flashing under his nose his wealthy son-in-law. “His first opportunity to shine at Newton Abbot had gone awry and he wanted to make a good impression for new owners.” Kitts has been separately charged with a breach of rule (F) 37 – failure to obtain the best possible placing on Hillsin. Honour has been charged with “encouraging Kitts to give a stopping ride”, not giving the rider sufficient instructions to obtain the best possible placing, and misleading stewards after the race. Higgins, who will not be attending the hearing, and Honour deny the charges against them. Clegg has not been charged by the BHA. The hearing continues. |

with the snippets online ,and regards the price of the horse on the day ,its hard to work out why the connectins of gone to such lengths to win a few £, considering how the horse ran, they could have have won just by backing him to win,obviously decided to take any risk element out of it,so obviously wont have been ther 1st or last time theyve cheated

Does anyone really believe what the parties say? We know withholding horses and not allowing them to run on their merit happens most of the time. It's just how blatant, and whether the rides would be referred to BHA or not.
This has taken 2 years to get to this stage. The Sheikh Mo and one of his trainers took considerably less. Which is more prolific and detrimental to horseracing? Sheikh Mo or Kitts? |

Horse would have won PULLING A CART , 11-1 was there no thoughts of Just backing it to Win , it won a couple of races season after , was there any betting/Lay involved in this Caper or what was Going on ?

Dylan Kitts was charged and found guilty of stopping the horse. The associate of the owner was also found guilty of stopping the horse.
The trainer of the horse requested the withdrawal of the owner's horses post this track saga. The trainer was charged, but found not guilty. But, the owner of the horse was never charged. How can the BHA reconcile these two absurdities? What a pathetic outcome after two years! |
