Willie Mullins? The guy is obviously a magnificent trainer, but is his monopoly of the national hunt good or bad for racing? In today's Grade 1 Mares Novice Hurdle he runs 5 horses out of 15. Should there be rules around the number of horses a trainer can run?

Only if you want to ExcitedWink. Genuine discussion point...do you think it influences the tactics of a race? Does it generate an advantage?

Ya the answer is that virtually everyone dislikes Skelton so happy for anyone to beat him.

He's the master of which we've never seen the like of before , instead of looking at ways to prevent his success the also rans should be searching for way of bridging the gap.

Nothing is ever achieved or moved forward by lowering the bar    Happy

His achievements are absolutely incredible - that's a fair point Hayden.  It makes me laugh that Dan Skelton literally grafts all season long to build a lead only to see it eaten away in the space of 2 months.

Fair point as well RS but at least he knows what's required and the need to find a way to bridge the gap , that said not sure the named trainers lose much sleep in winning top trainer as much as the media seem so needy to sell the idea.

The way the competition is calculated will always mean quality will prevail over numerical providing the desire is there..

Willie Mullins certainly has the desire.  He might also be offering Harry Cobden a job at this rate!

There’s no problem at all unless,it was all same owner, trainer etc.

Imagine if he had 20runners in grand national, all owned by jp or Rick rich.

Wouldn’t look great.
