Wasn't the greatest card, but still provided the only real betting opportunities on a rubbish Saturday. Let's hope it survives tomorrow.

How big is Ireland? The meeting at Fairyhouse is cancelled for today, and tomorrow's is in doubt too. Punchestown is next weekend. Possibly iffy?

Sorry 'tanglefoot'. That's a serious question. How horseracing in Ireland could be adversely affected by a deluge or persistent showers?

My apology for offending some Irish folks here. It's not intended.

Will antepost backers of the Irish National be funded their stake for backing a non-runner antepost if the meeting on 21st April at Fairyhouse is abandoned/cancelled/rescheduled/etc?

Horses for courses, I never look at any Irish meetings apart from the Festivals.

Is anyone as ignorant as me on Irish racecourses and acreage of Ireland? My only incursion into Ireland is their former PM Dr Varadkar who was batting for the EU during Brexit negotiation. I wonder what Dr Varadkar would say to the Ukrainians the treatment the Ukrainians received from the EU.

Spot on uptheirons and it’s very unusual for me to knock a fairtyhouse card.

Impossible of course if the meeting is lost the anti post punters will get the money back I’m wondering if your just acting the goat today with your questions.

'jimnast', I was not. I'm guilty of not googling to see how BIG Ireland is in comparison to UK Plc?
