if TEAHPOO was bet ante-post then you are down I'm afraid. cheers.

If it was an antepost treble (or given it's over 3 days, the Teahupoo price taken may have been prior to 48 hours decs for the Saturday), then Teahupoo is considered a loser whether it runs or not, so bet loses.

If that's not the case, then bet should be settled as a double.

When was the bet placed?

The question is whether Teahupoo was backed on antepost terms. If so, then your bet has lost. If final decs had been made before you placed the bet, then you've won.

Three answers in two minutes. Are we all answering during the commercial break in Grace?

You bet days in advance of the teahupoo race?...which would be different than betting on the day of the race..I'm assuming Teahupoo was not, non runner, no bet on the day you placed your treble..ie, if it doesn't run it's treated as a loser?

I always thought, but they tweet the rules all the time in their favour, that if a horse was declared in an ante post bet, then was a non runner,it was a non runner.

But it’s hard to keep up with rules and changes,I’m still reeling from each way being changed from equally divided to win to win ,place to place.

The only Aintree race PP were offering the NRNB concession was the GN itself.
Therefore, unfortunately your bet is a loser.

Coming up the hill, equally divided ew, I did ask in paddy’s a few months ago they said yes, but I think it’s best to ask, not sure betfred do it now, it’s a advantage to the punter being taken away again, just like betfair sportsbook you cannot now have more than one horse in a race on multiples, they shut that down after a few years, and choosing sp or price on multiples as it was advantageous to take sp as the prices offered on sportsbook were not good, but now you can only take a price, they are chipping away stopping even small advantages a punter has, I’ve not had a bet on sportsbook multiples since,  most youngsters betting wouldn’t have a clue about ew all ew or equally divided bets, the machines in shops did allow more than one selection in a race on multiples so will get back into that for the flat

never had one for donkey,s yrs but nice to see the EW DOUBLE is still a thing, was my fav bet 30/40 yrs ago and even then in my local laddies,I had to write ED?equally divided on the slip,at the time they reckon it was a northern thing and different rules depending where you lived/bet
By:

But originally,ed was ew,ew wasn’t even a thing,

They then changed it ,with little notice to win to win.

Never known a book to be other than win to win and place to place, so maybe a regional anomaly with Indies?

like I say in north east bookies/laddies  accepted equally divided as long as it was marked on slip as ED

Shop takes plenty of ed bets.

Does the computer accept them Ronnie or need an input manually? Not been in a shop for many years but online it is hard to even find a book that accepts Round Robins, Canadians and those type of bets? Have heard of the ED obviously but like ATC had to be written on a slip?

Hope you are well btw, you sound like you have made s fine recovery?

@know all

"just like betfair sportsbook you cannot now have more than one horse in a race on multiples"

I didn't know they ever did that - I know it worked on the old Exchange multis where it dutched the multiple selections in the same race, that was fun while it lasted.

"... and choosing sp or price on multiples as it was advantageous to take sp as the prices offered on sportsbook were not good, but now you can only take a price"

You can take SP - I did a few SP multis over Cheltenham (at least on the desktop site you can, I've never tried the Sportsbook mobile site/app) - just click on the "SP" checkbox after you've added the horse to the betslip.

"Never known a book to be other than win to win and place to place, so maybe a regional anomaly with Indies?"

Same - I've been betting on horses for 40 years (in London) and have always had EW multis settled win-to-win and place-to-place.

Nope I remember it split for many years EW , and that was shops in the North West .

ED divided bets were taken in London shops.

They were taken nationwide but Ed was far more prolific in the north.
