Is the Tote still "seeding" these LARGE pools at Cheltenham. ? Surely these pools should be left untouched by the Tote if indeed "seeding" was only bought in to create interest in SMALL pools.?

"Betfair has got increasingly difficult because there is less liquidity," says Johnson. "For me, the UK Tote is also a bit problematic because it's well known they bet into their own pools. As a former regulator, I have a problem with that. If you're the custodian of a market and you bet into that pool, it looks like you're competing with your own customers. It also says to me that you lack liquidity." In other words, get your sticky finger out of the pools. |
