Realistically, chances of a place revolve around State Man bombing out. I think there is a reasonable chance that might happen. I think Golden Ace will be outpaced so I don't think she will have too many options other than trying to make late gains. I just hope Twiston-Davies doesn't get involved with the pace. If he does I think it's just a tailed off job. He should just keep tabs on Townend.
Had a few ap bets on Burdett Road ew, if held up tomorrow, might run on for a place, on at 40/1 3 places. Will reverse the form with Golden Ace for sure.Gl.

Is he @ his best held up ?.Best run by far was in Xmas Hurdle making the running, if not for a dreadful mistake @ last would have been beaten 4 or 5 lengths by a shaken up Con Hill.

On that basis, from a value perspective i'd be looking at the two rags; King Of K will i assume be a breakneck pacemaker for BDA and will probably fold badly late on... however i assume Winter Fog will be rode cold out the back for place money, and though he's the same rating as Burdetts, he's an order of magnitude the win price bigger, and 3 times bigger for the 3-place odds, which seems out of synch.
For a different angle, on an in-running trade basis, will be interesting to see how low KoK goes; normally i'd not expect it to drop to double figures, but if KoK (and BDA in his wake), get 3 or 4 lengths clear... could go lower, especially if mug public money involved playing pictures.... worth sticking some in running keep bets on KoK at silly low prices.

The common sense scenario, as it is for most outsiders in races like this, is to ride for a place, and only ride to finish in front of the ones you realistically can, unless there's early mishaps of course.

Golden Ace had no trouble keeping up because they went so slowly. She was in position that I thought Burdett Road would have been in. I think they appreciated that Burdett Road is a weak stayer at the trip, and obviously, he has been very fortunate to finish second.

Main bet was on Brighterdayshead at 11/2, but backed Burdett Road EW AT 35/1 ages ago, and Golden Ace 6/1 EW without Constitution Hill and Brighterdaysahead on sunday.
In this game you have to take everything you get. Plenty of times you will be unlucky. Workahead and Brighterdaysahead absolute blow outs today.

I backed Burdett Rd at 150 on here and had a quid on Golden Ace at 90. Also did a fun 20 p r/fc with Hills which paid 88 quid. With two big outsiders potentially causing probs I thought it was ripe for an upset. As it happened the accidents happened independently. Glad they all live to fight another day.
