Hard to believe that Pied Piper...

Hasn't won a horse race for 2 years 4 months although has ran some great races in that time coming a 3/4 length 2nd in the Cesarewitch, 2 close runs in the G3 County hurdle btn Hd by Faivoir trying to give him nearly 1 1/2 stone, and just over 4 lengths by subsequent listed Chester stakes winner Absurde trying to give that horse over a Stone.
   Has chased up Champion hurdler State Man on 3 other occasions, has ran poorly last 3 runs but has ground excuses for 2 of them. Aspire Tower was beating him when falling heavily at the last in October but meets him on 5lbs better terms today and going is a bit softer. Hopefully the rest will have done him good and think he'll prove too good for these today and give Sam Ewing a double.
