So it looks like it was a bot. most of the markets are so weak that bots removing their requests for a price to small amounts can create the illusion a horse may not be running.

They can obviously be programmed to check if they are the only current bets on the pink side and then remove all those for a while to replace with bigger prices on the pink side to get themselves some nice prices if laid by anyone thinking the horse may be a nr

Once the liquidity arrives nearer the race the bots who push that liquidity around by creating backs and lays will come to life to destabilise a price before the off to create themselves a free bet or lock in profit. There will be algorithms on human behaviour to guarantee this works on average i guess they will make a fortune on here over time probably the biggest winners on here overall i would think.

I guess any seeding bots tasked with creating a market might check if there are no requests other than their own for a period before taking them all down if so to ensure they arent laying nr’s until someone checks the news and turns those bot price requests off. At that point perhaps private individuals bots will detect no pink side and place some high priced requests to small amounts for a given time knowing that’s how these seeding bots work. Battle of the bots will go on for sure.
