As expected favouring County over Champion Hurdle for Burdett Road. 'He's a shorter price for the County than the Champion so maybe the bookmakers know more than we do.' I think the most naive punter in the world could work that out. Even if the big four turn up, he would get a better place in a Champion Hurdle than he would in a County Hurdle. Alex Chadwick has a high strike rate, but not in competitive races like a County.
not BR ,but we have 30 yrs of trainers running grade 1 horses in handicaps and now the chelt winner factor has horses directed to county hurdle/handicaps instead of champion hurdle

There's a fair chance that he will finish fifth in a Champion Hurdle, but I wouldn't give him any chance of even placing in a County Hurdle. As I said on the other thread his improvement has come from the front under both codes. Very little chance of repeating that in a County. He was given a relatively easy time on the front end in the Greatwood, and still only fell over the line off a much lower mark. The only chance of him getting any return at all is in the Champion Hurdle.
