He is only 7 ,he seems to have been about for years.
|
|
By:
well if he's 7 .....2,3,4,5,6,7 but yeah I might have guessed 8.

By:
2,s + readily available for a 5,s on shot ,what a time to be alive
|

Has the profile that Formoftheace fawns over.
An aging mule that once was decent, but has gone downhill steadily but Shirley. Follows them o'er a cliff. Bookies love 'em. |

By:
it hasnt lost 20lb worth of takent in a few mths.

By:
few months ?
hasn't won in 14 races hasn't won since 2023 wins at ASCOT with Moore or top jock on board, when well drawn in a 20 runner handicap ran at a fast pace once in a blue moon hope it gags up for its backers but its 2,s and bigger and not 5,s on for 14 good reasons ,not like the Evans barn don't like a punt |
|
By:
Believe Evans part owns it, and he does like a punt.
Market should be the best guide. |
|
By:
He is saying he does like a punt but the fact it's still 11/4 on here tells a story

The betting with that horse hasn't told the story for a long time. Might well get hammered before the off, who knows we will see

Hostage to fortune when ridden ooota th eback.
jockey taking circuitous route having to switch around one in front to bag the rail. There's a race in there somewhere but who knows when, although Ascot would be high on the list. |
|
By:
looked a cert 2 out on drone..hence the 1.45
|
|
By:
same combination in the 7.15.
hoss owned by the family. Rossa rode it last time on stable dayboo but they've stuck this claimer on it this time. 3/1 poke but could be getting it down to a winnable mark. Down from 66 when trained by EJH now running off 52. guessing the market will be the best guide again. |

looked a cert 2 out on drone..hence the 1.45
looked to be tanking into it when the rail was bagged Rico. |
|
By:
"poor performance..was a cert 2 out..obv not what it was..ran ok." Little bit harsh imo Rico. Think there's more to come. Winner had a clear run all way in straight and got many lengths on Rohaan. Even at his very best needed a stiff test Ascot 5 x 6f wins usually with cut ) Never won at 5f but won at 7f at 2. Another big prize in him probably at Ascot.
|
|
By:
Also the winner may be a 90 horse having won 4 since December off 64. ( 80 today )
|
|
By:
Genius Howard, beaten off 79 and 80 with a 7lb claim but going to make a 90 horse aged 5 after beating a regressive 7 year old in a Southwell run of the mill race where the runner up needs a straight course?
|
|
By:
The mule in the 7.15 was a dud.
last but one but on a positive will drop further in the hcap. notebook it for when it has a proper jock atop. |
|
By:
Just amazing the "Is the handbrake off" comments on a horse with 14 runs on the board without a win, what does that mean exactly?
Connections spend conservatively £30K to prevent its true ability being shown ( which is cloud cuckoo btw) to have a punt that will net them substantially more? |

By:
LOL Pandora got it right with the Vital Spark, the SP is madness but very welcome!!
|
|
By:
Wd Pandora but noticed although good form drifted in betting earlier then on course was backed almost goes with my theory that on a/w the early prices can be ignored and o/c betting is significant.

David Evans, a racehorse trainer originally from Birmingham, began his training career near Welshpool, Powys, in 1989. He started with a small stable of five horses at Long Mountain, near Welshpool, and achieved his first winner at Hereford that same year.
DAVID EVANS RACING He later relocated to Ty Derlwyn Farm in Pandy, near Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, where he currently trains. In January 2015, Evans was involved in a betting-related incident. He placed a £6,000 bet on his horse, Black Dave, to win at Wolverhampton, while intending to withdraw his other runner, Tango Sky, the market leader in the same race. Evans informed a Ladbrokes trader of his plan to withdraw Tango Sky after placing the bet, leading to market adjustments. Subsequently, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA) fined him £3,000 for conduct prejudicial to the integrity of horseracing and an additional £140 for failing to promptly notify the Racing Calendar office of the non-runner. RACING POST Despite this incident, Evans has maintained a successful training career, with over 1,800 winners to his name. Notably, he trained Rohaan, who won the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot in both 2021 and 2022. DAVID EVANS RACING While the 2015 incident raised questions about his conduct, Evans continues to be an active and successful figure in the racing community. courtesy of Chat GBT ![]() |
