Lester Piggott Wins Epsom Derby, 1954
Jockey Lester Piggott riding horse 'Never Say Die' approaches the finishing post to win the Epsom Derby, followed by horses 'Arabian Night' ridden by Tommy Gosling and 'Darius' ridden by Manny Mercer, Epsom Downs Racecourse, Surrey, June 2nd 1954.

Such 'mod cons' in those days.. I like the mini stand or hillock just behind the WP, great views and looks a fun place to have been on the day. 

Even in that pic, Piggott reminds me of Billy Loughnane, or the other way round.
