The long distance race now a group one and a new two year old race added to the card worth £250000 I’ve thought from day one in 2011 the day needed a two year old race ,not a lot of good news around horse racing at the moment but this news is excellent news.

Quite a few big 2-y-o races around that time Jimnast. Hope they don't suffer. The prize money, which seems excessive to me, may divert a good few from the other well-established races....to their detriment.

Not as far as I know swifty the statement says 2 yo race added to the card .
I never understood how that was ever part of the day. But in saying that there are TWELVE handicaps at Cheltenham this year. Dearth of real top quality horses.
