Gone prematurely grey. Suits it though, touch of the George Clooneys.

Would not have won but ran well. Is Lump Sum worth running in the Champion Hurdle? Second in that race under top weight was some effort.

Sageform- Never saw the race but it's worth a shot. Sam Thomas is very good with his chasers and places them very well his record in staying chases is very good. His runners are usually thereabouts. Don't know why but reminds me of early Dickinsons.Lump Sum looks like he is improving. Good luck to Sam and connections if they give it a go.

Tommy, you never saw the race and Sam Thomas is good with his chasers, but you advise it's worth a shot to run in the Champion Hurdle. Great.

swifty- Everything I said I believe is true and all may end up 'great' in the end. Only an opinion.Couldn't get the race   to work on my phone Paddy Power site. Best regards.

Tommy, it just made me smile! Horse keeps improving, hopefully he'll get a nice prize before the season's out.

Yes swifty I was answering Sageform who saw the race and Lump Sum obviously made a good impression with him.I'd have doubts if he was good enough for the Champion Hurdle but you never know. It's always a good sign when a horse shows improvement.Happy

On reflection a rating of 147 is not good enough in the CH and he will go up for finishing second so the County will be tough. In the old days the top weight in that race was already a strong CH candidate.
