What's he tipped for Cheltenham?
By:
Hope he's advising taking odds as NRNB if/where available.
By:
we're a long way out still.
By:
yeah we wouldn’t want antepost prices on antepost tips would we.

we wouldn't want to take a slashed price and then find it's a NR either would we.

Hes tipped loads, about 5 when i took a butchers at todays rp in sainsbury. Lets remember
Protektorat in ryanair is one 8to1 Lossiemouth Il est francais in champion The wallpark stayers Gerri colombe gold cup |
By:
I thought I read Il est Francais would run in the Ryanair?
Wouldn't fancy it over 2 miles against jonbon. |
By:
il est francais will only run in the ryanair if fact to file goes for the gold cup stated the trainer yesterday or the other day, but you could take that as gospel as much as what mullins sometimes quotes. think the ryanair trip would suit it well and you should never be afraid of any horse.
By:
I agree plus the 2m4f is perfect given he could run them ragged, keeping them honest for the whole trip.
By:
this is the problem though when a horse has multiple entries, you chance the arm at a bigger prices, having no clue if thats its race, i saw il est francais ( without looking again ) at around 8's or 9's the other day for the ryanair and it would undoubatly be shorter than that on the day, or you take the p***take NRNB odds, around 7-2 which is what they are.
By:
I'd rather have Fact To File running in the Ryanair despite antepost vouchers on him, and Galopin Des Champs. But, I think JP will insist the Gold Cup unless the horse is humiliated by GDC again next week.
By:
Il Est Francais has been backed in on here for the Ryanair to second fav
By:
the hidden danger in nrnb punting is when willie changes his mind and drops a big hitter into a race you thought yours was a probable fav for .
By:
Willie can change his mind all he wants in my book , with the depth of quality he has no other trainer in history would have faced such a challenge to place horses for best effect , if punters are desperate or daft enough to play the ante post guessing game then good luck to them although it's an absolute mugs game to not wait for the day in my opinion.
Good luck all ![]() |

If you understand the antepost game then it can be extremely rewarding. I’ve extremely good portfolio with incredible positions on certain races.
Anyone getting involved now might as well wait for the day. You need to start in March to get max value. |
By:
" Good Positions " if they win or are you trading for a free bet. ?
By:
I’ve laid 1 of my antepost bets on here for 1/3 of the winnings which has paid for my Chelt tickets, accommodation and all of my other bets. These “other” bets will hopefully win on the day. I’ve 4 favs now from my 7 horses I’ve backed.

Willie Mullins' exciting hurdler Anzadam ruled out for rest of the season Backed down to 10/1 from huge prices. money done. |

ante post is obviously risky but can be very rewarding if ya get it right ,I don't play ante post as much as I used to ,the firms seem a bit more stingy with their odds of late but there is still a bit of value to be found ,you are going to get nonners and injury's etc,it part and parcel of the game ,I expect to have around 10-20% a season not making the race and therefore me doing my dough . but i play at big prices and 1 or 2 winners will have me in front ,playing so far out from a targeted race means I can drop feed spare money onto the bets every few days or weeks small but often and build up a good position on a selection by race time . its not for the faint hearted and I wouldn't play ante post at short prices as its a case of you have to put too much on risk outweighing reward . nrnb at big prices can be a way to go as 50/1 ante post will usually be around 33/1 nrnb and at those odds I will sometimes play.

Anzadam wasnt confirmed for the Champion Hurdle. If anyone listened to trainers they wouldnt have backed him with the owners reigning champion State Man in the race.
He said he is young for the Champion and Aintree would be better. That example is in no way justifiable in excusing pathetic nrnb prices. |
