The lazy fat f*kks.

Flutter's half million ITV incentive spoilt what is left of the ambition of our training/riding talent?

No doubt they'll be squealing again after Cheltenham but if they won't compete with the best they won't be the best.

This year's DNF is another Mr Mullins' benefit fixture. However, the Cheltenham Festival is very different this year. Mr Mullins' will not have the fav in the Champion Hurdle, Champion Chase, Arkle, Triumph Hurdle and possibly Supreme Hurdle (Lulumba) either.

Would it be a good idea for a horse to travel to Ireland and back 6 weeks before the Cheltenham Festival?

He may or may not have the fav in those races come post time impossible but quite often he'll end up with the 2nd , 3rd and sometimes 4th fav which effectively makes him fav for the race anyway unless the fav is odds on.

I admire your faith in a fav 6 weeks before a race   Happy

May as well get spanked at home rather than pay extra and travel to get spanked over there.

Supreme Gift, Queens Gamble, Good and Clever all still declared. Needless to say the first 2 are top weight in handicaps. I wonder why that is? No point in running against 3 or 4 Mullins horses when the tactics to ensure victory for one of them will already have been prepared.

A shame neither Constitution Hill nor Sir Gino nor Jonbon is taking part. It's also a shame all these 3 horses are from the same yard.

Willie Mullins 2024/5 season in GB. 50th place in Table with 7 wins from 25 runners. £138518. Many of those wins were novice hurdles running for £5k or less.
G Elliott 43rd palace 7 wins from 43 runs. Stuart Crawford 73rd 9 wins from 63 runs. Not terrible but very little prize money so far and a long long way behind this time last year.
With Irish prize money so high, they don't need to run in GB but last season Willie seemed set on winning the championship. This year he needs to win every Grade 1 at Cheltenham to catch Skelton.

Nearly half a million on offer at Musselburgh this weekend and no Mullins hot pots to cope with.

I hope all of Hendo's 3 hotpots make it to Cheltenham. All eggs in one basket (last season a classic example) is terribly risky; Punchestown this weekend is awashed with money.

Risky to who? Punters who bet on Henderson? They were put in the Henderson basket along with 100 other horses long before they were potential champions. Three different owners so they are not putting all their eggs in one basket either apart from Michael Buckley and he only has 2 or 3 in training. JP has runners in every major yard in GB and Ireland plus a few minor ones as well.
