Quai Du beth    nearly 10 lengths overall faster time in 6 pm.

That was 34.5 for last 3f so approx 34.3 for the winner as was just over 1l behind at the 3f pole.

First Division obviously very slow early pace. Second Division lot faster early pace but still below average.

when one of these is impressive. 




you can 100% guarantee someone will say it beat nothing.  it's part of racing.

might have beat nuffin but notable speech beat a poor lot last year not saying its a bet for the gns  but they can improve a bundle .

the winner of the 2nd division the balding horse had racing exp whereas the appleyby horse was debuting but  tbf appleby usually has em well forward and they know there job.

I see the recently ill-fated Measured Time won this race in 2023

Opera Ballo's race was moderately run the 1st 4f of race...ballo ran the last 4f quicker than Notable Speech..

lets not get too carried away..... yet ,it was an impressive performance especially considering it was his first run ,and from past runnings of this race the yard run some good uns here having farmed it for the past 6 years ,won easily and room for any amount of improvement ,I guess they will take a similar route to what they did with notable touch .

the race would have been slow if the greatest of all time was running but you know that.  All that matters is times when asked and visual impression.  How do people make money in future backing impressive winners that also record an outstanding timefigure ?

Davros, note the times down on screen for first impressions, then check them on atr website a couple of days later. Only do race times, not individual horse times, to save time. Use them more to gauge pace of the race early on rather than closing sectionals.
