I’m so inspired by Peter Savill,I ve decided to form a racing group.members can get together and work collectively to find ways to squeeze some money out of racing.
Obvious I’ve not been the BHA chairman for 6 years,so I may not have the future of racing as important in my heart as Peter,
My group will be called.GMTM horsemen.short for give me the money horsemen.
Members will pay 10 quid a month,this money will go to running this group,I will be the chairman and will use these funds to pay me for consultancy and any overheads,
I ll give the injured jockey fund 50p a month,to show how dedicated I am to supporting charities within racing,which is what gets me out of bed everyday.
We will also pay trainers to not tell us how well the horse is,Evan Williams will be my ambassador in this role.
I d like members to offer any kind of advice on how I can monetise any aspect of racing for my group.
Like Peter,who I ve modelled my group on his previous fantastic work,I will mob up with anyone in racing if we can spot anoppurtunity to cash in.
Everyone in the country loves racing,so they should pay for this,we can’t just sell ourselves short,
I’m hoping clerk of the courses join my group,so we can put screens up around parade rings,then charge a fee to see the horses,and big screens could be filtered and spectacles sold to see them,headphones for commentary,there no end to what a strong group of horsemen can demand.
Other sports do this,so our group needs to maximise this revenue.
