You live in Hereford, hulk?

I had a flat there until last year, was working away in that area for many years

Only minus 3 overnight so surely an "all-weather" track should be able to cope with that

Hpa is what I have when I go in there ,I haven’t been in every pub in the country but barrels is the best I’ve been in

I can't remember the name but it was Wye Valley brewery beer
They make 2 or 3 and the owner of the pub also owns the brewery, I believe
I had a flat a few hundred yards away, rarely went into any other pub

shortage of racing ,extra fixture ,who in the right mind once this looked certain to be only jumps fixture today had the brainwave to have a BUMPER on the card ?

Jimnast, that's the one, butty bach
1tp,it's an old fashioned type pub, but does have sky sports and will put the racing on in the afternoon... Gets busy Cheltenham and Ascot weeks
Good selection of beer and cider at great prices
It's got a big garden, partly covered, with heaters so most people sit outside all year

Does music once a week
Doesn't do food itself but let's you buy from the next door curry house and eat it in the beer garden
If you ever go racing at Hereford, definitely worth a visit

Yes Reg. There is. Betzone. Couple in Stourport now but not the same ones there used to be. Stephen Little had one back in the day

There must be hundreds of bumpers waiting for a run but only 7 can be bothered to go to Ffos Las for £2.4k. At least it is the last race so only addicts need watch it. With Fairyhouse on as well, at least we have some proper jumping today.

they could hold 8 bumpers for 100+ bumper horses any day they like on the all weather if they choose, why add one to an extra NH card they,d produced ,madness to me

More turnover on a Saturday bumper than on 10 mid week AW ones. With racing finances in the way they are that is the main criterion.

you wouldn't be loseing anything you,d have much more bet on another chase or hurdle than the bumper, bumper,s are   a niche betting vehicle these days
so you,d get more turnover today and anything from an extra bumpers for jumpers day would be a Brucie bonus

without unusual flexibility from BHA, we would not have any turf racing on today!

Been n the curry house next door reg and the one opposite

There’s a pub I go in ,in north Manchester that sometimes has butty Bach on as a guest ale,in Southwell there’s a pub that always has hpa on not the best pub but worth a visit for the ale.

How can anyone object to an extra card with 7 jump races and a bumper being arranged at 24 hours notice? If you don't like the extra bumper, don't watch it.
By:

well you might as well say if there's no racing so what, watch something else

So you want a say in what races are scheduled? Why would any of us? If they listened to punters then every race would be Grade 3 or better with 10-12 runners.
