Same here, tbh. Fabolous ride Neptune Collonges in the National a great memory; Might Bite falling when miles clear at the last on boxing day a low point. Good luck to him in the future.

Awful Jockey! Does well to win a walk over.
Bookmakers loved him though....the amount of good horses he got beat was not to be believed. Good ridance ![]() |

That might lead to an interesting question, Mat22. Which jockey has been beaten on the most odds-on shots?
|
|
By:
Actually that is not a good question because the jockeys most often beaten on odds-on shots will be the jockeys who ride the most odds-on shots, who will be the top jockeys.
You'd need to adjust for the number of rides, but then if you are not careful you will have lots of obscure riders who rode one and have a 100% failure rate. |

There is more to being a jockey, particularly one retained by an owner, than what you do on course. You need to be a good judge of horses with an eye on the future, a good communicator and be able to keep your nose clean with the authorities. Daryl has had some high profile jobs and a good career. Not everyone can be an Olympic champion so not every jockey can be the very best but he was never a reason why I would hold off from betting a horse.

Jacob is down to ride at Taunton! Presumably a mistake or has he only retired in Ireland?
|

By:
When Jacob was in a driving finish with A.N. Other, your best bet was A.N.

Countless people retire each week tbh
