Story about a Spanish sire and the headline of the story is:
"The aim is to found a proper Spanish stallion line"
Did they get the work experience junior to write the headline? What a sloppy, unprofessional approach by the industry trade paper. Sums up the decline in standards I suppose.

I see it now, as it reads like it should be 'find', but found as in to begin or originate.

They are looking to "Found" the stallion line i.e establish one is what the grammar properly states. Nowhere does it say or suggest they are out looking for a stallion or did I miss something? Nothing better to correct the English language tbf than having non English speakers point out how nonsensical it is!!!

I think an English person might have said 'establish' rather than 'found' in this context, but then again if he sees himself as a modern day Federico Tesio, then 'found' would be the correct word to use? |

My only point is that the RP lad was correct in his use of grammar and words in relation to his subject, more kudos btw if he was translating from a respondent speaking his non native language. Who has had the devils water and spoiling for a fight IYO, Sam or Mac?
