90% will show a lifetime loss tbh…
|
|
By:
are ewe in that 90% david?
|
|
By:
FACT, from stats, 98% are in lifetime loss, only TWO, yes TWO percent make a lifetime profit.
Reason - partly because under 35ish dont listen to the advice of the older ones that have made the mistakes. Eg. mistake 1 - trying to predict City v Utd style games to "prove you're the best", pick on City v Bristol Rovers instead type games. It's about profit, not trying to predict closely contested matches. Why bet on Cheltenham/Ascot etc, when Hexham has City v Bristol Rovers type horse races |

By:
and response before you ask, nope, i'm not in that 2% because i lost plenty in the early years
|
|
By:

Pre exchange you could look at punters in the shop and on course…..it was easy to spot the winners and losers…..
On here or other forums they can say anything they like….. |

By:
ace, generally speaking those that placed bet(s) and left were better than those that pulled up a chair.

I think we all gradually improved from our early days punting but as has been said remained losers overall.

they all do, that's why most of them look like they've been dragged into the studio through a hedge backwards to spend an afternoon being bored to death with Angus's IQ stats to pick up their £200.

I used to win. There was a time when playing £5s and £10s bets in running (I backed to lay NEVER the other way around) at home I still managed to get to paying the premium charge! That was hard but it became ridiculously hard with the £2 bots (£1 now) under cutting or over cutting everything I did. I could spend hrs and hrs win lose win lose going around in circles it became tedious. So I gave up playing everyday just have the odd bet now and again but at least I did win from in running! Took years but finished £56K up.
