A contender for one of the worst rides of the year. He cruises around on Mr Coffey and allows himself to drift back from 2l off the lead to 20l with a horse clearly going well and plenty of petrol left. Then on the final turn he finally pushes away where of course the horse motors up the straight to lose the race by 1/2L.... James Bowen would've won on this and so would every other competent jockey.

We saw several horses lose ground down hill today while others travelled well. Very different story up the hill. Nico kept well away from the other 3 contenders up the hill in the X country and nearly caught the winner napping.
