i've no idea what happened tbh aceform...

the real SCANDAL is that the stewards don't even ask a Q...

i mean how is that possible ?

and they expect mugs to back horses pre-race ffs.

these stewards aren't fit for purpose it's as simple as that...

It looks a hound tbf hibb, anyone remotely connected to the horse
would know it wasn't winning today if ever, word gets around.
Sporting Life said it opened 9s, I'm surprised it only went off 12/1.
They have to run somewhere, if we want fields of in form fit horses competing
in low grade handicaps we'll have a lot of matches and walkovers.

that's where i look...

i'm furious with the stewards tbh...

they failed miserably today imv...

not for the first time i might add.

hibby the dundee utd director and his hinger oan are doing their conkers at the moment.he had one bet from 7s to evens 4th last week which ran 3rd today, the higer oans was pulled up and  he had a beaten fav  under a tender ride by hughes. notwithstanding march wind. he couldnt win an arsekicking contest against peg leg pete at the moment..I Texted my pal to say forget it being christmas jumper day you could see a bridge jumper by the end of the day. he has some resilience to keep going to the well and drawing sand.

sad state of affairs pieman...

as i was saying to saddo it's the stewards job to ask Q's when a horse drifts quite badly and runs like that...

maybe there was a perfectly good reason for it's poor run...

but if the stewards don't ask how are we supposed to know ?

as Roy Keane would say...

DO YOUR FKN JOB.

You mentioned the ride in the OP hibb, what could he have done, ride it closer and pull up sooner? It jumped badly at the first, and he was giving it a slap or two coming past the stands first time round.

i'd suggest that if the graph had went from top left to bottom right it would more than likely have received a different ride saddo...

might not have been a different outcome...

but when it goes from bottom left to top right and never at any stage looked like it was ever going to get involved...

and ends up pulling up with 6f still to go...

i think i'm entitled to expect the stewards to at the very least ask a Q or two.

Race 1 - 11:55am
THE RACING TV NOVICES' HURDLE RACE (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE)

An enquiry was held into the running and riding of BIG STORM BREWING, ridden by Harry Reed and trained by Tristan Davidson which was held up in rear until being asked for an effort turning into the home straight, to finish sixth of twelve beaten by 26 ¼ lengths. The rider and the trainer were interviewed and shown recordings of the race; and the Veterinary Officer examined BIG STORM BREWING during routine testing and had nothing to report. The rider stated that his instructions were to drop the gelding in, to get him settled and jumping well as the gelding has been keen in his previous two races, and to finish the race as best as he could. Reed added that the gelding had relaxed after the second hurdle, and wanted him to continue to be held up, to not get too keen down the hill away from the stands. He further stated that the gelding jumped the fourth last hurdle slowly, and as he made up ground entering the home straight he was stuck behind runners in a pocket; when approaching the second last, he asked for an effort having got a clear run, but the gelding stayed on one paced to the line, passing no other runners and in his opinion had obtained the best possible placing. Davidson confirmed that he was satisfied with the ride and that it accorded with the instructions given. Their explanations were noted.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so they haul in this lot for that...

and it went off 250-1 with the books...

but the lot at Musselburgh isn't asked anything about their effort the other day...

when their horse was in the betting...

stewards ain't fit for purpose imv.
