You listen to the forecast and when there is a red warning of danger to life, you take notice. It may not be that bad inland or farther east so Sandown may get away with it.

Aintree 65mph winds most of tomorrow cant see that surviving, Chepstow 50-55mph all day but its not just the horse and jockeys to take into account though they are clearly the priority, structures and whether safe to travel to courses all have to be taken into account, Sandown might be ok as mentioned

It's not just the actual racing, horses need to get to and from the course, punters too, horses can be a bit spooky in wind at best of times . Red wind a new one but looks like the potential for structural damage is there and due diligence will prevail, of course you look silly if it's just a bit breezy but forecasting is much better now even if it does take an overly cautious stance at times.

I have received an emergency alert on my phone earlier and i thought Putin has let one off but it was a red "danger to life" weather warning sent by the UK Government, never had one of them before .

Wetherby... Not worried about winds and saying standing water not on racing line So, looks promising Aintree and Sandown both saying roughly the same... That if winds get up to around 50mph then possibly/probably have to call off because of safety issues Chepstow... Be surprised if it's on personally but let's hope
Was looking forward to some good racing tomorrow Right now, I'd take 2 out of 4 being on, but hope I'm completely wrong
