lay of the day for this lad..............
1930 Dundalk Cross Border Horse is 1 from 9 on the AW with the winning coming over this distance. It’s had a couple of recent spins at the Course and was just beaten a nose last time over 6 furlongs. That was off a mark of 64 which in reality was 61 due to a 3lb claim. Races off 66 so he is 5lbs higher and as it’s an apprentice race the Jockey gets no weight benefit today. Trainer at the Course over the last 5 years is 20/274. Over todays Distance he’s 0/7.(When the Horse won it was trained by Lynam). Jockey at the Course over the last 5 years is 29/375. At this distance it’s 1/23. Horse has to give weight away all round and is up in the ratings. Jockey I’m not convinced with on the stats so it’s opposable for me. |

I wish you had posted that before the race. Would have saved me dough. When the studio pundit said it was his Nap and nothing could beat it, I said to myself, "I don`t follow ex jockeys tips because they are all hopeless, but if he fancies it that strongly and super confident, I`ll bet it for a Place". Thanks Martin
