He has already ridden 3 winners so not totally inexperienced.

Morning sparrow, 30 odd rides is very inexperienced in my book. Far too green to be able to judge pace yet or know when to push on. Every race will be a sharp learning curve for him at the moment, hence why hes allowed to claim 10lb.
In the right instances though , that 10lbs is once heck of a given. |

You sound confident with your selection and good luck to you, not up to speed with NH this season as yet but notice a couple of other 7lb claimers with mounts and Connor McCann has a very good record at this track with 4 winners, 2 2nds and a 3rd from his 9 rides here whereas Benjamin Macey has never ridden on this tight track before also he is only 1-24 in hurdle races McCann is 5-22.
Maggs is much more experienced and is 14-100 over hurdles with 17 2nds, so purely on those stats on a thread basically about apprentice weights think i'd prefer to side with McCanns horse Starlyte. Simply Red has changed stable again to Ellison but from a fair mark and Maggs back on top could be an EW option. |

10lbs outweighs any lack of inexperience which is never really an issue these day.
She should win this , the weakest race attempted in some time and well treated. I won't be laying anything off ![]() |

I can't disagree with anything you've written and the others all have far better stats. I just think this Glory is running into form and just has too much weight off its back today.
The track will suit her perfectly as her best runs have come at Market Rasen. I hear what you are saying re the opposition but surely Simply Red is a non stayer who is better over 2miles ? Will be tailed off imo. Re the Lucinda Russel horse , you are bang on re the conditional and it would be great if the jonjo nag had the experience of that pilot. But in my opinion Starlyte will need to take a big step up today on anything it has achieved so far to beat Glory. Who in my mind has been running creditably in far better races so just needs to run anywhere near her norm to collect. Thanks and good luck to you too. |

Thank you all. Nice to see it all play out that way.
I hope I wasn't the only one backing it ? Yes Shooda , I saw the forecast as well though I didn't do it as I was more interested in place laying Simply Red as he was so short at evs and was tailed off as I said i thought he would be. |
