Mine is self explanatory.....I obviously think imho that Dancing Brave was the best racehorse I have had the pleasure to witness. Lots of you probably have your names but some sound quite interesting......spill the beans if you want to explain to fellow forumites the meaning behind your forum name
I was trained by Barry Hills and was also his nickname.
I won the Chester Vase and Geoffrey Freer.
4th in Derby won by Galileo and 3rd in Leger won by Milan

Acey-deucey is deliberately riding a horse with one stirrup shorter than the other. It is most often seen in racing in the United States, where a jockey will slightly lengthen the inside stirrup to gain better balance on turns, all of which are left-handed in America. Some riders believe this helps them.[4]

Never heard of that Acey but when I was riding I always had one longer than the other....its just felt comfortable for me...perhaps I have 1 leg longer/shorter than the other

Think we did this years ago, mine was one of the horses i first had shares in years ago, a selling plater and dual purpose horse, won a few races. It's apparently a hill in Scotland something to do with the Stewarts i believe, also a rather rude anagram.

Stanley Racing ( remember them ) made a blunder on a top batsman market many years ago so took advantage around most of their Liverpool shops , hence Hayden = Matthew Hayden.
Memorable day albeit after timing

Mine’s one of those Steven Astaire owned horses from a while ago that were named after Marx brothers characters. I liked them. Could have been J Cheever Loophole or Hiram B Birdbath but plumped for this.

I know Hayden, the memory of that night at Wimbledon will be with me forever but it does seems like a lifetime away now. Prince Edward owned 50% of the jolly Druids Johno who didn't cope at all well with the noisy preliminaries.
There used to be a poster called "Cannyman" on the doggie forum that was offered S.B. for £5K as a pup after winning an A4 @ Brough Park.
He walked away as it was just over his budget. The one that got away...

I have a barn and its black!!. But my field that surrounds my garden was historically (18THc) named Black Bush Barn Field, but I kept it simple for what should be pretty obvious reasons

I spotted this in the car park of Lidl in Taunton a few years back. I'd like to think that the owners kept a copy of Philosophy Made Simple in the garage next to the Haynes manual.

Name of my early 90's Welsh regional rugby team, the doomed Celtic Warriors, which was an amalgam of Bridgend and Pontypridd. I grew up nearby in Llantwit Major in the gorgeous Vale of Glamorgan. Very lucky for me, loads of fantastic beaches in the summer and a small village really back then.

Sadly not for five years, but that doesnt surprise me. Has Llanmaes now become a suburb, together with Llandow, Nash point & Wick. In 10 years time there will be houses all the way to Rhoose I should imagine. very sad. When I arrived there in the scorching summer of 1976 Boverton was a distinct village!

Just looked on map. Loads of new house behind windmill lane and the LM Afc & cricket have their own seperate pitches up there. AFC used to play in the rec opposite the two rugby pitches. Lovely memories from my youth

Yes Celtic it is sad to see but as our cities are full to capacity there is no where else for our growing population to go. Beautiful countryside and quaint country villages gone forever
